Mark Rhodes is a 35 year experienced veteran in the implementation of state-of-the-art mining and tunneling methodologies SEM/NATM, Hard Rock TBM, Micro TBM, drill & blast, shotcrete for initial and final lining, ground support and pre-support measures, cut-and-cover and water proofing of underground structures with a focus on shaft, slopes, and large diameter rail and water tunnels. All aspects of concrete! He has held responsible positions as SEM Superintendent, Blasting Superintendent & Blasting Consultant, Lead Quality Engineer & Chief Inspector, and Tunneling Advisor. Mr. Rhodes has solid, hands-on mining experience and has worked in numerous mines and fulfilled the requirements of several key positions. He has also worked on high-profile infrastructure tunnel projects nationwide, including the Anacostia River Tunnel, Washington DC, Atlanta West Area CSO, Atlanta GA, Heartland Corridor, Norfolk Southern Railway, Welch WV and LIRR Eastside Access Project NY. Mr. Rhodes is very experienced in SEM and drill & blast techniques, ground support installation, and wet as well as dry shotcrete installation. During this time Mr. Rhodes has been able to cultivate diverse and unique skill sets, which include a working knowledge of railroad operations, project management, third party contract management and construction by third-party contract. Mr. Rhodes has extensive experience in all phases of high value complex projects, from initial scope identification, Critical path method, infrastructure management, capital program planning, funding identification, design, procurement, environmental compliance, construction methods, project reporting, estimating and project closeout.
