Several years’ experience in advising both Italian and overseas clients on all intellectual property and related commercial law matters, both in and out of Court, including trademarks, designs, copyright law, know-how, patents, trade secrets and unfair competition. Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, involving, among others, IP, merchandising, advertising, sponsorship and licensing agreements, franchising, co-development and co-branding agreements, manufacturing, supply, distribution agreements, etc. Advisory and support on e-commerce, digital media, TMT, consumer law, advertising, and Internet-based intellectual property rights, including those related to websites, apps, online services, copyright digital distribution, technology transfer, software agreements, hardware procurement, etc. In-depth assistance on data protection issues, compliance, privacy impact assessments, cross-border data flows, data sharing agreements, theft prevention and data breach management. Wide experience acquired in advising clients in matters concerning online compliance, processing of data for marketing, social networks, protection of databases, big data and predictive analyses, user generated contents, profiling and automated decision making, biometrics, employee monitoring, whistleblowing hotlines, location-based services, etc. Practice includes the management of complex litigation, often international in scope, working closely with foreign clients and professionals, coordinating defense strategies and actions in several sectors such as fashion, luxury, technology, automotive, media and telecommunications.
