Managed multiple OSHPD projects with the goal of extending the lifespan of existing hospital buildings past the 2030 Seismic Compliance deadline. Projects implement linear and nonlinear analysis procedures of ASCE-41 to the SPC-4D criteria and require \"retroactive quality control\" programs to verify the adequacy of existing materials and details of construction. • Managed multiple non-structural seismic upgrade projects to NPC 3 and 4 aimed at reducing the likelihood of operational disruption resulting from damage to non-structural components after a major earthquake. • Managed mechanically driven renovation projects, including installations of AHUs, Cooling Towers, Chiller replacements and Modular Central Utility Plants for OSHPD. Experienced with OSHPD bracing Requirements for Fixed, Interim, Mobile, Movable, Other and Temporary Equipment • Designed base-isolation system for new Temple structure in Concepcion, Chile. System include triple-pendulum friction isolators and viscous dampers. The Building achieved a Platinum Rating by the U.S. Seismic Resiliency Council (USRC). • Former member of the New Technology Group (NTG) at Degenkolb, participating in the conceptual design of multiple base-isolation retrofit projects. Developed the PERFORM 3D Component Library for use in nonlinear analysis. • Assisted in the development of Haitian Retrofit Guidelines, which were eventually adopted by the Haitian ministry. Traveled to Haiti three times to teach Haitian engineers how to implement retrofit design process.
