The Nova Scotia film and television soundstage project was initiated in response to the growing demand for screen-based content production in the province. I was brought on to bring this vision to life, leveraging a seed investment of $8 million from the provincial government.Reporting to the Executive Director of Screen Nova Scotia and leading a variety of working groups and committees, my role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, relationship management, and strategic reporting. I explore land, leasing, and partnership opportunities while evaluating business models to identify the most viable path forward. My assessments and recommendations are presented and discussed with the aim of securing the best possible outcome for the organization, its members, and the broader industry.A deal was successfully closed on March 14, 2025, representing a significant opportunity for long-term industry growth. My focus shifted to operationalizing the studio and implementing an ambitious capital expenditure plan. I am currently Studio Director, supporting a smooth transition for Screen Nova Studios Inc—a subsidiary of Screen Nova Scotia—and continue to report to the Executive Director.
