I currently lead the UK Transport Operations across three sites (Leeds, Washington, Bellshill) and site Operations in Scotland, managing a fleet of 19 vehicles and a team of 40 with site processing of 1700 - tons of recycled timber per week. I am accountable for all people management activities, compliance, and workplace health and safety (WHS) initiatives, operations management, client and business development, and financial management to deliver excellent client satisfaction in our service and profitable outcomes for the company. To do this, I- Successfully lead the transport fleet of 19 vehicles, having expanded this from 14 vehicles and bought all transport in-house to maintain consistency and strengthen compliance- Designed and implemented a robust WHS program, achieving legislative compliance and encouraging a culture of behavioral-based safety- Maintained ISO audit compliance ISO9001, ISO14001 and transitioned ISO18001 to ISO4501- Achieved high service delivery standards, maintaining oversight on all contracts and mitigating issues as they arose, clarifying expectations with clients and the team to lead with transparency- Implemented policy and procedure updates, audit requirements, and records management systems in an overhaul of transport compliance to ensure all legislative requirements had been met- Continuous improvement strategies to increase efficiency, safety, consistency, and profit across transport and sites with a continuous focus on exceptional client delivery- Led the recruitment, onboarding, and training of all new staff and continued to manage performance to ensure we have an engaged, motivated workforce.Timberpak recycling and reprocessing has sourced waste wood for the EGGER UK chipboard production sites, the largest user of recycled timber in the UK wood panel industry, for over twenty years.
