My corporate legal background means I have a rigorous approach, blended with pragmatism, well-suited to the governance, risk and transactional aspects of the trusteeship role. My in-house experience and Executive MBA give me commercial awareness and a broad skills base including stakeholder communications, digital strategy and operations improvement, pertinent to the modern-day demands of a professional pension trustee. My MBA dissertation was on pension trustee motivation and I am drawn to the role for the right reasons. It chimes with my “servant leadership” style and I believe that is at the core of trusteeship. Looking after the members’ interests is paramount in discharging my fiduciary duties.
