It is a \"C\" in the ABDC list.My primary research areas are the Future of Work and how leadership differs across contexts. We wrote a book teaching research-based leadership concepts using MCU superhero movies and we have a contract for a book teaching research-based leadership concepts using Avatar: The Last Airbender with Emerald Publishing. My research on the Future of Work focuses on virtual leadership and social media changing the nature of company-employee relations. I co-edited a book on how social media is used in selection and recruitment processes. I\'ve researched both the law related to people fired for social media posts and how people reaction to the fairness of such decisions. I have also done research related to compensated crowdsourcing sites like Amazon Mechanical Turk, the communities of workers that have sprung up around these sites, and how organizations use such workers. I have also done significant work considering the future of I-O Psychology concepts and how the ideas of the field can be best be communicated to the public and organizations. My leadership in varied contexts research work has included looking at how leaders impact Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. I have examined leadership in lean production initiatives. I also look at how popular culture and memes can help people to learn leadership, management and I-O concepts. I teach courses face to face and online in human resource development, leadership, organizational behavior, digital HR, employee relations, organizational development, organizational theory, diversity management and human resources. My work related to teaching has been presented at conferences and published in academic journals. I have also created case studies and other educational content. I do consulting for organizations primarily related to leadership, social media, virtual leadership, training, and motivation. I am also happy to connect these concepts to superheroes and popular culture concepts to help engage your employees or customers.
