About Gordon Pedersen
Currently I’m a third year student at the University of North Dakota’s School of Law, graduating May of 2026. Following law school and the Bar Exam I plan on pursuing opportunities that I find interesting and personally rewarding, whether that be in the traditional legal field or something else. Prior to attending law school most of the positions I held in the Army involved aviation management - managing people, training, programs, maintenance, logistics, and safety. Additionally, I served as a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot, an Inspector General (ombudsman), and was often assigned to conduct investigations involving accidents and misconduct. The common denominator between all of the positions that I held in the Army was that every day I went to work I solved problems. FAA ratings include: C/S-70 Type Rating, Helicopter CPL/IR, Airplane SE/PPL, Remote S-UAS. Common misspellings: Gordan Pedersen, Gordon Petersen, Gordan Petersen, Gordon Peterson, Gordan Peterson. Southeastern Dispute Resolution Services
May 2025 — Present
Summer externship, serving as a volunteer mediator with Southeastern Dispute Resolution Services (SeDRS.org) of Michigan. Externship involved professional development opportunities, mediation training, observing mediations, co-mediation sessions, mediations, coaching and feedback. Most mediations that I participated in were part of the on-site/court meditation work that SeDRS does, other mediations included civil and domestic disputes. SeDRS is one of Michigan’s 26 community mediation centers and operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
