Midland Ontario is re-inventing itself economically, culturally and socially. Over the next decade Midland will grow to become the urban centre of North Simcoe. As the mayor I am in the middle of everything that impacts our modern municipality. Vision, hard-work and humility are definite assets.Over the past four years I have brought the four North Simcoe municipalities together to build an economic foundation - specifically the new Economic Development Corporation of North Simcoe. New cost and tax management controls have been implemented to improve both the quality and efficiency of municipal operations. The Town of Midland has also acquired a 40 acre parcel of land - Midland Bay Landing. This strategic investment will define Midland\'s job growth and quality of life for the next generation.Prior to becoming Mayor in 2010 I was Councillor for Ward 2 for four years. Over the period of my municipal service I have also been involved in our community as- Chair, County of Simcoe Housing Advisory Committee- Coordinator, Out of the Cold- Chair, Zero Waste Simcoe- Chair, Huronia Foundation for the Arts- Founder, Economic Development Association of North Simcoe- Chair, Martyrs\' Shrine Board of Trustees- Chair, St. Margaret\'s Cemetery Board
