Serves as the Chief of Staff, Joint Program Executive Office-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND), leading a 80+ HQs element, in the daily planning, synchronization and execution of the organization\"s internal operations. Defines, integrates, and implements strategic direction for vital programs with long-term impact on large numbers of people. Initiates actions to resolve major organizational issues and promulgates innovative solutions and methodologies. Directly responsible for the efficient and timely coordination of major staff actions and events, while ensuring that actions are consistent with overall command direction and resourcing capabilities. Directs and orchestrates meetings to ensure that stated and implied goals are achieved and appropriate follow-on actions are completed. Coordinates with DoD and Department of the Army (DA) staff, Department of State officials and other senior officials on major and sensitive issues. As a matter of routine, represents and speaks for the command in meetings and deliberations with these agencies. Provides the Command\"s position or desires on issues and provides appropriate level of influence to those agencies and stakeholders to gain their support for the desired outcome. Establishes program objectives, develops long range plans and identifies required resources in order to promote an efficient, economical and progressive organization. Interprets and implements local and higher echelon policies and regulations. Assigns responsibility for accomplishment of specific functions and participates with other managers in setting organizational goals, and assures the development and establishment of adequate internal control systems. Coordinates the accomplishment of major projects and has the responsibility for policies, plans and analysis which directly shape and improve operations.
