I currently work within KPMGs Accounting Advisory Services Group as well as maintaining a portfolio of listed audit clients. In Accounting Advisory Services I am part of a team of technical accounting specialists selected for our high technical competence and proven track record in helping clients to understand complex accounting requirements.It is a fact that most business activity has accounting consequences – be it acquisitions, group reorganisations, distributable reserves restructuring, re-financings, pension funding / restructuring, hedging, and so on. Some accounting consequenceswill be simple, others will be more complex.At its simplest we offer a helpline to support Group FDs with accounting issues – it could be a 15 minute call to resolve a problem; or it could be more detailed like helping clients analyse the impact of new standards, advice and preparation of step plans around restructurings, distributable reserves analysis, reviewing accounting policy manuals, reviewing accounts / drafting disclosure notes, supporting clients on accounting disputes with HMRC, GAAP conversion support or training.
