I am Goran Đermanović, a versatile executive, software engineer, and entrepreneur, bringing over two decades of expertise in software engineering and management. Hailing from the picturesque city of Zagreb, Croatia, my life has been a remarkable odyssey, encompassing a war, 16 relocations, diverse educational experiences across Europe, and extensive travels that have allowed me to forge friendships all around the globe. Operating 100% remotely, my team spans six time zones from Jakarta to Seattle, consistently delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive digital financial inclusion and bridge the finance gap in developing economies. I am tirelessly working on building our organization and engineering department by developing and managing technology strategy, our execution framework, our innovation portfolio, and InfoSec function. I am just as well deeply committed to nurturing and mentoring my team members, empowering them to ascend into leadership roles. Over the course of my career, I have held various positions, including team lead, architect, developer, and scrum master, primarily in the finance and banking sectors. A last highlight of my engineering work is the development of a simple solution architecture for a mobile banking app that runs seamlessly in areas with limited or no internet connectivity. This innovative solution has received accolades from industry leaders for promoting digitalization in rural and underprivileged regions worldwide. My peers regard me as a confident, strategic, and results-oriented leader who inspires and enables others and leads by example.
