The SAP business analyst role converged with the functional specialist role into Product Functional specialist, setting it into a matrix reporting into the product manager and technical product managers.The new role includes business process support, requirements gathering, proof of concept, functional design, build, deploy, Hypercare and run support root cause analysis as needed.From a RACI standpoint it adds R to the A.A high value product, which is small to pack, with SKUs to support prescriptions for vision correction, that is produced and distributed worldwide, with a tracking of batches at a high volume. Such is the exciting challenge to support an ERP platform with interfaces to third party platforms and data lake. As a member of a squad of SAP professionals, with a role that combines business analyst and SAP specialist, involving collaboration with non-SAP teams to enable interfaces, it is gratifying to have a year’s extension of the contract.
