This initiative has positioned RBC as an industry leader in this new payment product, allowing RBC and other Canadian banks to compete effectively against fintech competitors in the retail online marketplace- Led a technology squad through a complex project, focusing on driving efficiency and collaboration that developed the Interac Direct Payment Processing Engine, implemented a brand-new payment engine for transaction processing through domestic CAD chequing accounts- Leading a technology squad through an extensive program developing Pre-Authorization API capabilities for Interac Direct payments, including integration with various Digital channels for payment presentment and integration with multiple downstream systems and industry partner InteracBank of Montreal (BMO) – Dec 2017 to Jun 2021- Led a technology team in delivering two large and complex Class A projects valued at $12MM and two additional projects worth $4MM under the Enterprise Payments Modernization initiative. This strategic effort aimed to enhance client capabilities and establish a strong transformation foundation aligned with Payments Canada’s industry-wide modernization program- Implemented Montran’s liquidity product solution to externalize the liquidity engine from BMO’s legacy BESS system to the new Liquidity Management System (LQMS). This critical transition enabled BESS migration to Dovetail’s Enterprise Wire Platform. It facilitated the processing of Canadian Wires and High-Value Payments from BESS to EWP while preparing for future adjustments to Payments Canada’s Lynx liquidity model
