As the Architect of the IEAP MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) platform, I lead the design and development of a sophisticated software solution that enables vendors and operators to deploy and manage distributed edge computing infrastructures. The platform orchestrates geographically dispersed edge sites, ensuring seamless deployment and management of user applications.With a focus on optimizing service performance, the platform supports application deployment from both mobile devices and a centralized portal hosted by IEAP Central. Leveraging advanced algorithms, it intelligently selects the most suitable edge site for computing based on real-time mobile device radio and geo-location data. By facilitating efficient communication between user equipment (UE) client applications and MEC applications hosted in edge-based micro-datacenters, the platform significantly reduces network latency and enhances overall performance.
