About Gonzalo Ferro

I have over 18 years of research and applied experience. My experience includes managing projects, business development, human capital and talent management, experimental design, data collection, statistical analyses, report writing, and human performance evaluation. After eleven years of working as a research scientist/consultant, I joined the U.S Federal Government in 2014; working primarily in the area of employee engagement. At the Securities and Exchange Commission, my primary duties include being the Program Manager for the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) and serving as the Deputy Senior Accountable Official for Employee Engagement. In this role my main responsibilities include briefing leaders (managers and union stewards) on the FEVS results of their respective organizations and working with them to develop solutions to improve employee engagement and overall organizational health. I do this through the use of data visualizations (including dashboards) to tell a cohesive story about the current state of each organization; and develop evidence-based solutions to tackle important organizational issues. I have presented my work at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals and technical reports. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
