Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS) – JEEViKA is a Government of Bihar initiative focused on rural livelihood promotion, women’s empowerment, financial inclusion, and poverty reduction through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and community institutions.As a Young Professional - Block Project Manager (YP - BPM) in Mehsi Block, East Champaran, I am responsible for block-level implementation, monitoring, and coordination of livelihood and social development programs. I supervise 7 staffs and coordinated 250+ community cadres while overseeing 2,463 SHGs covering households. I also monitored the implementation of Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana (SJY), including 276 rural SJY households and 25 urban SJY households, ensuring effective execution of community-based development initiatives at the grassroots level. Additionally, I worked closely with various thematic areas of JEEViKA, including Health, Nutrition & Sanitation (HNS), Financial Inclusion (FI), livelihoods and Farm etc.
