ABOUT SHRUTI GOLA TARASCHI-CARR

I’m a relationship-centered leader dedicated to building more equitable, collaborative, and transformative systems—whether in government, education, or civil society. Over the past two decades, I’ve led strategic initiatives in human rights, restorative practices, and public policy, always with a focus on empowering others and advancing inclusive change.I am currently on an embedded secondment with the Government of Nova Scotia’s Office of Equity and Anti-Racism where I lead the design and development of a forthcoming educational framework for the civil service to embed EDIA principles and practices in employee learning opportunities. I have recently served as Director of Race Relations, Equity and Inclusion at the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission, where I provided leadership on dismantling systemic discrimination and aligning program strategies with public interest and provincial priorities. I\'ve managed high-performing teams, shaped policy frameworks, and advised senior decision-makers through complex challenges—all while centering trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice. As founder of Atlantic Restorative Company, I’ve collaborated across sectors to foster respectful workplaces, resolve conflict, and elevate equity goals through training, coaching, and program development. Whether designing systemic reforms, leading organizational transformation, or supporting communities in moments of disruption and relational conflict, I bring integrity, adaptability, and vision to my work.I believe leadership is about creating space—for people, for ideas, for possibility. Let’s build something better, together.
