The night a slow query quietly broke a payment system, I realized backend failures rarely start where people think.At 2 a.m, the pager buzzed, logs streamed across the screen, and thousands of transactions were stuck behind a single un-optimized query in MySQL. It wasn’t a missing feature; it was a 15% slow-query rate, a table without a proper B-tree index, and a backend service with no circuit breaker to absorb the failure. Watching real production traffic collapse under load forced me to rethink how reliable backend systems should actually be designed.Since then, I have focused on building scalable backend platforms rather than simply writing code that works locally. I design distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices using C++ and Golang, with a strong emphasis on concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization. My work includes low-latency systems, high-throughput APIs, caching with Redis, database optimization using MySQL and SQL, and cloud deployment on Microsoft Azure. These systems are designed to handle 50K+ requests per second while maintaining sub-10ms latency.My philosophy is simple: most outages blamed on traffic spikes are actually architecture and system design problems hiding in plain sight. I treat system design, LLD, HLD, database indexing, API contracts, and query plans as first-class engineering decisions from day one.This mind-set has helped me improve backend performance, reduce latency, and design distributed services that remain reliable under heavy load. I have also solved data structures and algorithms problems across Leetcode and GeeksForGeeks because understanding algorithms and complexity directly influences how scalable systems are designed.I focus on building backend systems that keep working when real production traffic arrives.
