About Gokhan Tezel
Senior executive and board advisor with 30+ years of experience across energy, mobility, finance, and consumer services, including CEO and CFO roles in large, diversified groups. I spent 16 years at Tofaş (a Stellantis–Koç Holding joint venture), where I built a strong foundation in finance and operations, progressing from Finance Specialist to Finance Manager. I later served as General Manager of Koç Fiat Kredi, where I led the establishment and launch of Fiat Turkey’s consumer finance business. In 2009, I joined Aygaz, Turkey’s leading LPG and energy company, as CFO, and from 2015 to 2023 served as CEO of Aygaz Group. During my tenure, I led strategic growth and diversification initiatives, including international expansion into LPG distribution in Bangladesh, acquisition of the Pursu spring water bottling business, establishment of a London-based trading operation, and investment in Sendeo, a last-mile delivery platform. Alongside executive leadership, I have extensive board experience, serving as Chairman, Vice Chairman, and board member across energy, logistics, real estate, consumer goods, and international subsidiaries. I have also held senior industry roles, including Vice President of the LPG Association of Turkey, Chairman of the TOBB LPG Assembly, and Vice President of the World Liquid Gas Association (WLPGA). I currently work for various companies as board member and advisor. I am dual-based in Istanbul and Boston.
