ABOUT SHREY GOEL

I\'m a Level 3 Honours Bachelor of Commerce student at McMaster University\'s DeGroote School of Business, specializing in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Economics. I\'m currently pursuing the CPA pathway, with strong interests in both accounting and finance, particularly in audit and assurance, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis (FP & A), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate strategy, and investment analysis. I’ve gained hands-on experience by: • Filing personal tax returns through CVITP, helping clients understand CRA policies and identify deductions and credits they may have otherwise missed • Interning in retail banking and tax, where I enhanced KYC compliance, GST filing accuracy, and client onboarding efficiency • Placing 3rd in the Debits & Credits Case Competition and representing McMaster at the CPA Ontario Intercollegiate Case Competition Outside the classroom, I serve as the Events and Engagement Coordinator for CPA McMaster, lead campus outreach and mentor first-year students through case competitions and orientation programs. Technical Skills: Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Power BI, UFile, Financial Modelling, GST Filing, Data Analysis I\'m currently seeking Summer 2026 internships in accounting, audit, tax, corporate finance, or FP & A, where I can apply my skills to solve real business challenges and contribute to impactful work.
