Application Support Engineer – UPI (Production)| NPCI ProjectAs part of the UPI (Unified Payments Interface) production support team for NPCI, I am responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and integrity of critical digital payment systems in a real-time environment. My core responsibilities include:Production Support & Incident Management: Provide L1/L2 application support for UPI systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues within defined SLAs. Perform impact analysis, triaging, and RCA documentation for recurring incidents.System Monitoring & Log Analysis: Use tools like Vunet, Otel, Grafana (or similar) to monitor system health, application logs, and transaction flows to detect anomalies and performance degradation.Linux Administration: Execute shell commands and scripts for server health checks, log tracing, user and process management, and file system monitoring in RHEL/CentOS environments.Database & Query Optimization: Write and optimize SQL queries for transaction validation, reconciliation, and debugging production issues across PostgreSQL/Oracle DBs.Patch Management: Perform scheduled OS and application patching (e.g, JAR/WAR deployments, config updates) in coordination with DevOps/Infra teams to meet compliance and security benchmarks.Server Maintenance & Uptime: Regularly manage server restarts, disk space cleanup, cron jobs, and ensure uptime of core services like API gateways, authentication modules, and DB connectors.Environment: UPI | Linux (RHEL/CentOS)| SQL | Shell Scripting | Application Servers (Tomcat/WebLogic)| Ticketing Tools (ZOHO)| Log Monitoring (Vunet, OTEL, Grafana)| Patch & Release Management
