ABOUT GODKNOWS JONAS

I am an aircraft engineering maintenance professional with more than 30 years of specialist knowledge and expertise in varied aviation environments. My particular strengths lie in providing technical leadership as a B1- Maintenance Certifying Engineer, based on understanding maintenance principles and asset management lifecycles. I deliver effective technical solutions utilising good project management practices driven by exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills. My experience includes an understanding of EASA Part 66 regulations and the transferrable skills from both the BEng Honours and the MSc in Aircraft Engineering I have attained. I am also adept at the understanding of maintenance processes and production management of varied asset types including with all engines, B737 NG, CL, B787-8/9 & 10, A330 NEO & CL, A380 and A350 aircrafts. I have particularly enjoyed the challenge of acquiring a distinctive combination of transferrable technical skills in critical safety environments and have the confidence to aptly adapt to change and cultural realities.I am motivated by the desire to resolve complex strategic and technical issues, including identifying and implementing productivity improvements. Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and to work collaboratively with peer group to contribute to the successful running of the organisation.I possess good project management skills and have worked on various aircraft types in more than five countries, which required my unique expertise to support the development of maintenance optimisation and component overhaul regimes, utilising standard engineering tools. As a B1 Engineer, I contribute at a senior level to the maintenance regime management, by being responsible for the final release of work by mechanics and also ensure that tasks are performed to meet desirable quality.
