   The trials and tribulations of making your way in another country where a different language is spoken cannot be underestimated. English is not the easiest language to master, and having so many idiomatic expressions does not help either.The aim of this book was to share my experiences and to try to educate others not to fall into the same pitfalls as I did. As well as pure semantics, I cover business tips which would be applicable anyway, but particularly so in an unfamiliar environment. You have to develop a tough exterior and a certain amount of resilience. I did not, by any means, find it easy, but it was certainly character-building. I have written the account in an open and honest way as I realise that so many autobiographies can be edited selectively by the subject to portray them in the best light.Humorous but with a serious underlying message, this book has become a best-seller and is quite popular with a wide section of the community. You do not have to be trying to succeed in a different country, as it can be difficult enough in your own language. It is tri-partite, a bit like a shamrock or clover, comprising themes of Stories, Lessons and Words, all intertwined.This book was number one for six weeks in 2016 in the business section.
