We founded Modulus in 2018 with a clear goal: bring skyscraper-grade speed, precision, and quality to the low-rise buildings and distributed infrastructure where most of India lives and works.From the beginning, Shreeram and I believed that construction shouldn’t be slow, unpredictable, or dependent on uncontrolled site conditions. We saw an opportunity to rethink the entire approach through a manufacturing lens -standardisation, modularity, and factory-first execution. That insight evolved into patented modular processes developed during our time at IIT Madras, supported by an ecosystem that encouraged large-scale problem solving.Our technology proved its capability early on in tougher demographies with government, where rapid deployment, quality assurance, and repeatability mattered more than anything else. Delivering modular healthcare units, schools, housing, and mission-critical infrastructure across challenging terrains showed that a new model of construction was possible -one that consistently performs under pressure and at scale.From a ₹25 lakh beginning to ₹240+ crores in cumulative revenue, Modulus has proven product-market fit and strong unit economics. With our recent $8M fundraise, we’re scaling manufacturing partnerships, strengthening supply chains, and expanding category leadership across India and emerging markets. We’re incredibly excited about the road ahead. From day one, we focused on building real depth -validating technology, economics, and demand before accelerating. Having done that, we’re now at an inflection point. With multiple live projects across F&B, edge data centres, FMCG, oil & gas, healthcare, and PSUs, Modulus is demonstrating what the future of distributed low-rise infrastructure should look like: faster, more cost-efficient, and consistently high in quality.
