This role oversees the complete network development lifecycle, from conception to delivery, across multiple regions. This role centres on refining our customer proposition to drive profitability, while acting as the subject matter expert and liaison across business functions to enhance network punctuality and overall performance. I lead the strategic development of network proposals and design, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.Responsibilities include extensive engagement with external stakeholders, such as local councils, housing developers, businesses, and educational institutions, to build collaborative plans that address community and commercial objectives. This outreach has extended the role\'s impact to cover the entire service delivery chain—from initial network design, schedule development to on-the-ground implementation, performance monitoring, marketing, and roadside infrastructure.Key achievements in this role include leading transformational route and network redesigns across the Midlands, achieving cost efficiencies and substantially enhancing the customer proposition in urban networks where marginal services were transformed to increase ridership. Additionally, supporting the design and mobilisation of Leighton’s buses, an innovative, tendered network that utilises S106 funding to drive significant modal shifts.I also drove major process improvements, overseeing EBSR conversion and advancing the rollout and future development of Optibus, achieving streamlined operations and planning efficiencies.
