About Benjamin Glover

On a mission to transform science and STEM education in the schools that need it most, I serve as the Founder and Executive Director of STEM Detective LLC. Through this work, I partner with K–12 educators to turn underperforming science and STEM programs into success stories, especially in Title I schools across the Greater Houston area.With over 15 years in public education—as a teacher, coach, and district leader—I’ve seen the powerful results that happen when the right support meets the right mindset. At STEM Detective, we equip schools with rigorous, TEKS-aligned curriculum, job-embedded coaching, and data-informed systems that accelerate achievement.Our work is hands-on and impact-driven. In the 2024–25 school year alone:• Sherman Elementary grew from 49% to 78% passing on the fifth grade science STAAR• Simms Elementary nearly doubled from 17% to 36%• Northeast STEM Academy, a middle school, jumped from 48% to 68% in just four monthsThese campuses faced major challenges—new teachers, chronic underperformance, staffing turnover—but their progress shows what is possible with focused coaching, strategic planning, and instructional alignment. And this is just the beginning.Across eight years, schools supported by STEM Detective have consistently outperformed district and state averages. Whether building a science program from scratch or strengthening an existing one, our goal remains the same: help students think critically, empower teachers to lead with confidence, and drive real results.Beyond core science, we help campuses launch robotics teams, integrate Scratch, Python, and Code.org, and compete in robotics and coding events. Our reach also extends to high-performing private schools. I supervise a team of tutors supporting students at Kinkaid, Episcopal, Emery/Weiner, and Strake Jesuit with long-term academic coaching in STEM and test prep.I hold a degree in biochemistry with extensive research in molecular biology, including a published thesis on muscle protein interactions.
