ABOUT YIN SHAN GLORIA LAI
As a recent graduate from Master of Engineering program in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary, and having finished a Bachelor of Engineering in Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering at Wuhan University. I have expertise in land survey, hydrographic survey and GIS. Also, I am knowledgeable in post-processing geo-data and survey data to analyze and visualize it with survey calculation technology. Furthermore, I know how to use GPS, total station, and other conventional survey equipment and also embracing the digital construction tech like Laser Scanning, UAV/Drone surveying.I also have professional experience as a GIS technologist and I am currently learning more in-depth and advanced skills like developing web application contains leaflet map to visualize the geospatial items. And I am also learning more software like PhotoScan and Pixel4D for 3D reconstruction.Programming and Software Skills: • Utilize ESRI products (ArcGIS Pro, AGOL, Field Mapsand ArcGIS portals) for cartographic visualization.• Experienced spatial data management using tools including Python, JavaScript, PostgreSQL to manage and manipulate geospatial datasets.
