ABOUT GLORIA SCIARRINO

I’m an emerging art historian with a deep interest in how images, objects, and rituals shape identity, memory, and belonging — especially in the context of modern and contemporary art. After completing a First-Class BA in Art History at the University of Kent, I pursued an MA at The Courtauld Institute of Art, where I specialised in Surrealism. My academic work focuses on the intersections of material culture, visual storytelling, and cultural resistance.Beyond research, I’m passionate about public engagement and creative interpretation. I\'ve volunteered in cultural heritage initiatives, contributed accessible writing for blogs, and supported open days and exhibitions. I thrive in spaces where art, education, and community come together — whether that\'s through curating, interpretation, or programming.Bilingual in Italian and English, I bring cross-cultural sensitivity, a strong collaborative mindset, and a curiosity for how museums and galleries can be more inclusive, relevant, and imaginative.Currently seeking opportunities across museums, galleries, and creative institutions — especially those that value critical thinking, diverse voices, and cultural dialogue.Always open to conversations, collaborations, and new challenges in the cultural sector.
