ABOUT GLORIA CHAN
Hey, I’m Gloria Glad you’re here to learn more about me! 🫱🫲 Two years ago, I made one of the of my life—leaving a stable government job in Hong Kong to start fresh in a new country and a new field. I moved to Vancouver and enrolled in BCIT’s Digital Design and Development program, where I learned UX/UI, web and mobile development, project coordination, marketing, and product strategy. The experience pushed me intellectually and creatively. It also helped me discover how much I enjoy solving problems, working in teams, and building meaningful digital experiences where communication meets innovation. Before that, I spent 5+ years in government communications—managing social media, coordinating press events, writing bilingual press releases, and handling media inquiries. It taught me how to. My degree in Social Policy and Administration sharpened my skills in research, public engagement, and systems thinking—skills I still draw on today when developing campaigns or supporting cross-functional projects: Thoughtful, reliable, and love working with others Strong in research, writing, and building team connections Comfortable with tools like Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce, Figma, Google Analytics, Adobe Suite Always learning—curious about new tools, ideas, and ways to grow Outside of work, I’m usually sharing Chinese tea, chasing mountain views, or road-tripping If you\'re working on something that blends creativity, strategy, and community impact, I’d love to connect! 🤓
