Independent Board Director | CEO | – Energy, Utilities, Audit, Health & Safety, Environment, NFP, Governance Experience Glenn is Chair of the Audit Committee of Newfoundland Power Inc, Chair of the Audit Committee of the NL Liquor Corporation, Chair of the Audit Committee of the Parliamentary Centre and a Member of the Steering Committee of the World Refugee and Migration Council. Glenn is a former Director and Secretary-Treasurer of The Rooms Foundation, a former Director of the Newfoundland Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors and past Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Board to the Canadian Coast Guard. Previously, Glenn was Chief Executive Officer of Cuso International, an international development organization, based in Canada, working to improve the lives of people living with poverty and inequality around the world. For more than 60 years, Cuso International has worked with local partners, including government, community groups and the private sector, to affect lasting change, primarily through the placement of skilled professional volunteers. In that time, the organization has sent more than volunteers on placements in more than 80 countries. Before that, Glenn served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Board Director of North Atlantic Refining a $4B mid-stream energy company. Prior to this, Glenn was President and Board Director of a start-up wholesale and retail petroleum heating and fuels business, including the rebranding of a successful c-store operation, that grew revenues to $700m. Glenn was VP and CFO in a successful financial work-out and restructuring of a start-up petroleum refinery. Previously, Glenn was in Public Practice with Clarkson Gordon Chartered Accountants (now Ernst Young) and Coopers & Lybrand Chartered Accountants (now PWC). Glenn is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Public Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador and of CPA Ontario, a Notary Public, has a MBA from Queens University, an ICD.D from the Rotman School of Business University of Toronto and holds a NACD.DC director certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
