ABOUT GLENN BEHENNA

Each day is different, a chance to learn new things, to meet with and help people to face change, complexity and challenge. Delivering a portfolio of University Business School activities and real world consultancy and training support, the wide range of variety and challenges provide a continual source of learning and inspiration. I like to challenge people with new ways of learning, which engages their interest and involves them in active learning, for example, through discussion based, problem-based and project based learning. Thanks to learning from an excellent colleague, I make use of music and mini-peer teaching sessions with my learners, which has resulted in excellent results and feedback Variety and change are integral to the learning sessions I facilitate. I see my role as a facilitator of learning, a guide along the learning journey. Outside of university, I deliver real world consultancy and training in Learning and Development, Organisational Development, Change Management, Project Management and Knowledge Management, to a range of major clients. I am a qualified practitioner in the field of ‘Mental Toughness’ or ‘character in action’. I provide a focused, resourceful and determined approach to addressing the pressing complex issues organisations are facing. In managing my workload and responsibilities. I enjoy interacting with people and bringing out the best in others. I am interested in how organisations use and share information and develop and share knowledge. I provide Knowledge Management consultancy and training in these areas. I’m also interested in how organisations identify and manage their workflow i.e. Project Management and I provide Project Management consultancy and training. My background in Business Information Technology, combined with my MBA, provide an effective overview of the functional areas of Business, Management and Information Systems within organisations. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
