My expertise unfurls across a rich tapestry of realms, from optimizing employee benefits and compensation to masterfully navigating unemployment arbitration, mergers and acquisitions, and the intricate web of legal compliance.But I am not just a practitioner; I am also an advocate for continuous growth and learning. As the chair of the MGIS Academy, I have fostered an environment where our workforce thrives through transformative training and educational initiatives, equipping them with the tools to flourish in a dynamic landscape.My true calling within the HR realm is to bridge the chasm between employers and employees, uniting their aspirations and values. To me, HR is more than just a career; it\'s a vocation. I ardently believe that successful organizations are built upon the foundation of nurturing talent that aligns with their vision, empowering them to steer the ship towards greater heights.During my tenure, my accomplishments encompass a constellation of achievements, from attracting and retaining top-tier talent to crafting and implementing policies and procedures, all while adroitly resolving employment disputes.Beyond the confines of MGIS, I\'ve also had the privilege of serving the broader HR community in Utah. As a curator for the prestigious Utah Crossroads Conference, I\'ve been instrumental in selecting and enticing speakers who illuminate the latest trends and best practices in the ever-evolving HR landscape.In essence, my journey in HR has been a symphony of growth, learning, and impact, and I\'m committed to continuing this melodious adventure.

1. Vice President of Human Resources

   Jun 2014 — Present

   Manage all the HR functions of the organization. Oversee all day-to-day functions related to employee relations, including: benefits, recruiting, progressive discipline, counseling, terminations, organization planning and development, etc. Regularly counsel both management and employees in employment related disputes to a mutual resolution. Maintain corporate compliance with all employment laws. Develop policies and procedures related to hiring and recruiting, business travel, compensation, communication, paid time off, sexual harassment investigations, and management practices. Chair of the MGIS Academy facilitating employee training and education initiatives. Serve on the Corporate Compliance Committee. Lead the operational functions of the organization, including managing the support roles (receptionist, clerical support, mail room, building maintenance and security). Mentor successor in Human Resource functions as part of the organization\'s succession plan. Serve on committee for corporate process improvement.
