October 2018– present Evaluation of server/desktop software and SaaS apps. Responsible for the deployment and ongoing care of MDE and MDI. Responsible for application and software security evaluations. For these, I: o Reviewed desktop and server software requests ensuring the security posture meets corporate security standards o SaaS vendor evaluation ensuring their security posture including DLP, encryption, data at rest/in transit/in memory, onshore/offshore data storage, etc o Built processes and procedures for requesting software versions or SaaS solutions Responsible for Microsoft Defender for Identity (MDI). For this, I: o Wrote detailed processes and procedures to install MDI across 29 domains o MDI 24-hour assessment o Remediation of undersized resources on o Requested outbound firewall rules o Provided installation packages and security key for MDI installation o Remediated MDI Health Alerts o Developed an MDI playbook Architect responsible for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Server (MDE). For this, I: o Wrote processes/procedures to install MDE on Linux and Windows systems o Wrote documentation to onboard Linux and Windows Servers into Azure ARC o Worked with resources to install MDE including json files, cron jobs/GPOs for virus scans, definition updates, agent updates, etc o Currently working to automate the Azure ARC/MDE deployment to Linux servers o Working to version control MDE based GPO settings per environment, per Line of Business o Currently working on an MDE playbook to be used by our Tier1/Tier2 SOC Team Completed other tasks as assigned. These included: o Participate in risk assessments for new & emerging technologies to evaluate technical trends & requirements o Research of new MDI/MDE features as well as new technologies o Developed strategic relationships across both technical and non-technical resources o Established relationships with internal/external partners to ensure alignment to security architecture and business strategy
