After 7.5 years as a plant operator, I’ve come to understand something deeply: safety isn’t just a checklist—it’s about people. My passion lies in creating environments where people are understood, valued, and protected.I’m currently expanding my knowledge in Environmental Health & Safety, with a strong interest in Human & Organizational Performance (HOP). This area aligns closely with my values and my years of studying human behavior, relationships, and leadership. I believe real safety begins when we listen—when we examine the context, the culture, and the conditions in which people work.In my current role, I’m often leaned on for safety-related tasks—from entering Enablon events and leading tabletop discussions to helping guide safer operations through the permitting process. I’ve also taken the initiative to explore formal training in OSHA safety principles, including plans to begin the OSHA 30-hour course, Confined Space Entry, and HAZWOPER certification in the near future.I’m always looking for ways to contribute more meaningfully and support a culture of safety and accountability—both through action and empathy.
