Vice President, Assay Innovations @Cepheid
As Vice President of Assay Innovations, a new position reporting to the CTO, I am focusing my teams on continuing the early research and innovations for platform technologies, including advances in nearly every aspect of assay chemistry and biochemistry from sample prep to amplification and detection modalities. Our innovations have a particular emphasis on novel approaches to speed, sensitivity, specificity, robustness, and multiplexing across different biomarkers, sample types, and disease states. My teams serve across the entire organization as a foundational platform for our current and future product development efforts. Cepheid—named for the extremely luminous pulsating stars that enable scientists to measure distances across the universe by starlight—likewise is entering its brightest phase yet with so many powerful and compelling innovations, and I am proud to have the continued opportunity to lead many of these efforts into this bright future.
