Senior Engineer NA Supply Chain Mgmt.Perform periodic audits of Supplier Quality Systems assuring continued vendor conformance to the quality system requirements. Utilize Statistical Process Control, Advanced Quality Process tools and metrics. Proactively identify and help implement improvement to supplier quality, quality tools and processes. Monitor supplier performance, identify cost reduction opportunities. Ensure timely generation of supplier performance monthly score cards. Work with internal teams to ensure suppliers are performing and coordinate solutions around any identified challenges.Provide leadership and direction to suppliers to ensure compliance to supplier quality standards and ISO/IATF16949 quality system requirements.Support formal assessment, conduct supplier audits to assure adherence to PPAP and quality requirements utilizing APQP and process review audit tools.Ensure containment, breakpoints, root cause and corrective actions are developed using the appropriate problem-solving techniques and implemented when quality issues are determined. Timely follow up of corrective action and quality concern until approved and closed.Support engineering change process by ensuring adequate internal supplier controls and all applicable PPAP requirements are met to minimize potential associated risks. Work with cross functional groups, including design, manufacturing, purchasing, and all production and quality personnel for designated program. Ensure PPAP annual validation and conflict material requirements are met.Lead N.A. warranty investigation in analysis and processing of claims and provide timely management KPIs. Direct strategies, procedures and standards for warranty management. Provide expertise in statistical methodology and concepts for structured problem solving and customer directed activities. Resident Supplier Quality Engineer working with major OEM.
