Work collaboratively with personnel in rolling supply chain, operations, recycling, metal input planning and other support-related teams within the organization to execute a variety of planning tasks, including supporting our monthly Sales & Operations Plan (S & OP), overseeing daily machine center planning and scheduling, and optimizing plant ingot and scrap inventory. While managing a team of planners and schedulers to support remelt manufacturing units. Responsible for optimizing the planning and scheduling of our internal plant assets as well as external purchases, to ensure the downstream supply chain and ultimately our customers receive our material on time and in full. The position is also responsible for ensuring metal Input requirements and/or procurement plans are in alignment with our production and plans, optimizing processes and scrap, prime and other raw material flow, and developing and leading improvement plans related to inventory, and cash flow management. The Plant Metal Planning Lead is a strategic partner in identifying future opportunities for efficiencies and increased throughput as it pertains to Oswego and Novelis North America as a whole.
