About Glenn Blackwelder
I am a traffic engineer/project manager with a passion for traffic data, analysis and design. As a traffic engineer I enjoy bringing understanding to a topic that most people experience daily - traffic. This passion lead through several consulting jobs to a job at UDOT where I got to play with traffic data and detection systems, and where I learned a lot about the nitty gritty parts of implementing a new software - and how to finish off a difficult project. As I progressed in UDOT, I learned a new passion - leadership and mentoring. There is immense satisfaction in finding out how everyone fits in a team and how to use the different skills and strengths of each team member to best achieve goals. This passion was recognized in 2020 when I was recognized as the UDOT Operations Division Leader of the Year. I\'m currently using my passion for traffic engineering and leadership in Horrocks\' Spokane office, where I\'m the office manager and the companywide traffic engineering practice lead. When I\'m not doing traffic engineering, I enjoy music (I play ukulele, banjo and bass) and reading science fiction.
