ABOUT GLEN JOHNSON

With over 18 years in the game as a coach, I’ve dedicated my career to developing goalkeepers who don’t just make saves—they make a difference. I\'m a UEFA A Licensed Goalkeeping Coach and Coach Education Tutor with experience across every level of the professional game—from academy setups to first-team environments, both in the UK and internationally. My journey has taken me from EFL League One and Two, the National League, and the SPFL Championship, to top-tier clubs abroad in India (I-League/AFC Cup) and North America (USL). I’ve served as a player, academy goalkeeping coach, first-team goalkeeping coach, and head of goalkeeping, giving me a unique 360° view of what it takes to succeed between the posts—technically, tactically, physically & physiologically. What I focus on- Developing complete goalkeepers with sharp decision-making, strong distribution, and a commanding presence- Creating high-performance environments that align with team culture and long-term club vision- Individualised, data-informed coaching that builds confidence and consistency under pressure- Mentoring and coach development, sharing practical insights with the next generation of goalkeepers & goalkeeping coaches.
