ABOUT GLENDA STARTUP

I am a passionate, practical and well considered Strategic HR Manager with over 20 years’ experience working with businesses, building proactive relationships and coaching and mentoring senior leaders to achieve results. I believe in creating empowering environments, whereby we use our data, our knowledge and our people stories to create a full view of HR that leads to meaningful outcomes that drives employee engagement and culture.I have worked in public, private and not for profit sectors both in permanent and contract roles across some quite complex and challenging environments to deliver results. As a very experienced Change Manager I have managed large scale projects within a flexible landscape whilst engaging with key senior stakeholders, union partners and business leaders to foster and develop those relationships through robust and timely consultation, design planning and communication.I have an indepth knowledge and sound expertise in NZ employment law, possess a high level of competency around Australian employment law and have in the past been exposed to employment law in other countries across Europe and the Middle East. Through my ability to quickly gain knowledge of other countries’ nuances to employment legislation I easily demonstrate my ability to gain the knowledge needed to support and navigate other foreign country employment differences.Holds an Advanced Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from Cornell University and HR degree from Massey.
