Responsible for leading the design and implementation of finance policies, strategies, accounting processes, and controls in conjunction with other business operations and finance leads.Establish and monitor the financial risk management function and internal controls framework in collaboration with the CGIAR Risk Function.ENGAGEMENT Build capacity of Quality Assurance team, in the delivery and design of assurance programs andinitiatives to strengthen the accountability framework and its engagement across BusinessOperations and Finance and with other key stakeholders, developing capacity in financial duediligence, technical skills and knowledge. Provide advice, support to key stakeholders on risk management, compliance, and oversightmatters including capacity building initiatives in financial due diligence, technical skills andknowledge across the Business Operations and Finance team. Partner and engage with the Office of Internal Audit and Investigations to ensure a strong controlenvironment and to allow proactive actions to be taken to raise the visibility of controls and to deterfraud.Advise teams, and key stakeholders on new approaches/methods for financial risk management,financial due diligence for Grant and Contracts Services, including the vetting of partners,partnership proposals and procurement activities, translated into a solid control environment for allfinance processes and procedures to ensure that One CGIAR is contractually protected throughout.10. Partner with the Governance team to establish fit for purpose Delegated Authorities across theglobal operation and ensure compliance to these Delegated Authorities.Showcase organizational frameworks, policies and practices on quality financial assurance inappropriate external forums to build organizational reputation as a reliable partner in agriculturalresearch.
