About Glen Kessler
As the Head of U.S. Security Operations and Protective Services for TD Bank, my role is to oversee and manage a multifaceted security apparatus aimed at safeguarding the institution\'s assets, employees, and clients across the United States. One of our team’s primary responsibilities is to provide regional-based security solutions by strategically deploying a blend of security managers, investigative specialists, and trained guards. This dynamic approach allows us to tailor our security measures to the specific risks and challenges faced in different regions, ensuring an effective and responsive security infrastructure. We focus on fortifying the preparedness for incident response and investigations, thereby ensuring a robust and agile security infrastructure. This requires our TD Bank Corporate Security team to have a keen understanding of the diverse needs of each area, creating strategies to address specific risks and threats, and fostering collaboration among teams to ensure a cohesive security posture throughout the organization. Additionally, we take a proactive approach to identifying, mitigating, and reporting potential risks, leverage technology and artificial intelligence (AI) and liaison with our law enforcement partners around the U.S, thereby enhancing the overall security resilience of TD Bank. The safety and security of our employees and our customers is our highest priority. A former 26-year veteran of the U.S. Secret Service that served as a Special Agent in Charge with a TS/SCI clearance in an agency that prizes innovation and flexibility while moving quickly in a constantly changing environment. As an executive manager, he filled management roles in both protection and financial/cyber investigations sections of DHS for over 26 years, while still being an active investigator. During his tenure as a law enforcement advisor to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, he solved problems and made recommendations to U.S. Senators on subject matters ranging from the Reauthorization of the USA-PATRIOT Act to law enforcement topics including 314(a)/314(b), AML regulations, policy development for a variety of investigations and counterterrorism methodologies using a variety of expertise.
