About Glen Fike

Retired USAF Colonel in 2005. Many years as an ops loggy and then program management and then more loggy and then more program management. Much of my AF time was as a reservist, so I had opportunities to do much more than the traditional AF career. I managed training system development for General Dynamics and others. I managed heavy aircraft overhaul for some of the major airlines, but mostly Southwest Airlines. I was recalled to active duty because of my heavy aircraft experience to manage the depot overhaul program for AF Reserve Command at Warner Robins, GA where I had 450 aircraft to reconstitute from Desert Storm. I was then assigned as the loggy for 16th AF, Aviano, Italy where I did 5 years including the Kosovo ops. Prior to the \"conflict\", I was responsible for all logistics planning with Gen Short and served as the Deputy A4 for the AFFOR. My territory was from Spain to Turkey and across North Africa. During the fight, I served as night mission director in the AOC. After the conflict, I was base commander at Zagreb, Croatia restoring order and recovering mass graves. From Aviano, I was assigned to Wright-Patt where I served as the Chief of FMS for the F-16 SPO. I was then Chief of Affordability for the F-22 SPO. I retired after that and joined the BAE Systems as a PM at HQ AFMC (my 5th HQ assignment) and then Special Operations Forces Battlefield Airmen. In 2010, I was assigned as Project Manager here at BAE Systems Dayton Operations where I managed contracts at Wright-Patt including: Simulator, F-16, F-22, Special Operations, and others. Most recently, I was Dayton Ops Manager for Global Fighter Programs for F-16s. I am now a Senior Associate for MCR, LLC providing services to DoD. Any holes in this resume can be discussed over copious quantities of beverage.

   May 2015 — Present

   I am a Test Manager for Saudi Arabia F-15SA Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in the AFMCLC Simulator Division. Saudi has the USAF procuring aircrew and maintenance trainers for the new version of the F-15. It is the first fly-by-wire version in production. It feels good to be closer to the blue after managing contracts for so long. I imagine sooner or later I\'ll get pulled back into management, but for now, I am mentoring others and actually building something.
