Main Projects developed at Abútua:• Aprenda Java (20••••20): This project is a Java e-learn platform that trained more than 5k students. This project received a first prize from IBM (IBM InSites Contest) and had a public financial support from federal entities (CNPp and FINEP) and private resources from FACENS, and has more than 300 practical exercises (compile, run and self-correction) and more than 4 hours of video lessons.• Crowd Games (20••••20): This project was funded by the government of the state of São Paulo (FAPESP) for an innovative marketing system for big events which uses computer games and computer vision technology to entertain the crowd of the event by allowing them to interact with the marketed brand through gestures. This project had Allianz Parque (Arena of Palmeiras Soccer Team) as a partner and was used at several soccer championships (Paulistão, Brasileirão e Copa do Brasil) and had around 500k fans participated during the soccer matches. • Interactive Multimedia Systems for Retail (20••••16): This project proposed three different multimedia solutions (hardware and software) to be used by retails: Interactive Terminal to Search Price and Ads, Interactive Table by Gestures and Interactive Showcase. All solutions explore the use of multimedia and interactive ways to present product information, recommendation, and ads. • XPTA (20••••11): Experimentation and research laboratory in audiovisual technologies (XPTA.lab). This project proposed the support and development of multiuser distributed contents for virtual reality and involved six research institutions from Brazil (UFScar, Unesp, Corollarium, Abútua, UFPA and UFRN). Our piece of this project was to develop system to control digital puppets controlled by hands and face. This project was funded by public Brazil Federal Government (Ministry of Culture).Other activities: Consulting, training, and lectures.
