Corporate Data Architect with a penchant for Data Curation and Analytics currently working at Estee Lauder Companies to define operational data architecture and analytics strategy for their multi-billion dollar nineteen brand multi-gro enterprise. Prior to this, for NWEA, I designed an account curation eco-system that establishes educational hierarchies in an Operational Data Store, broadening and deepening the hierarchy based on external data services. This expanded hierarchy is then loaded back into Salesforce. The ODS also feeds business-facing datamarts that directly drive marketing, sales and partner-service business-development and analytics functions. Previously I migrated Portland\'s largest sporting goods manufacturer\'s, analytic, datalake, portal and metadata servers into AWS. I have over twenty years’ experience working in data warehousing and more recently, implementing BI engineering platforms for Big Data and advanced Analytics. Initially taught by Ralph Kimball, I implemented early dimensional warehouses in retail (Walgreens), finance (Lloyds-TSB) and health insurance (Bupa). Working as an enterprise architect with IBM I was part of the group developing grid then cloud computing. In recent years I have implemented data warehouses, business intelligence and advanced analytics systems for Nike, Inc. Initially these were in Oracle then Teradata moving to Cloudera (Hadoop) using Amazon’s AWS EC2/S3 computing and storage services, now curating corporate transactional data using Snowflake technology. My program and project strengths, broad finance and design acumen and good understanding of business and technology, allows me to build teams that deliver solutions providing competitive advantage!
