As a teaching candidate in the Rutgers Graduate School of Education Alternate Route program, I am part of a cohort of career changers transitioning into the field of education. Through this program, I am developing competencies in instructional design, classroom management, child development, literacy instruction, assessment practices, and culturally responsive teaching.
