WORK HISTORY
Director @Kpac
I am Director of KPAC Community Interest Company, KPAC is a social enterprise that provides training and courses primarily (but not exclusively) for disabled people and their parents and carers in and around the Knowsley area. I split my time between attending meetings and forums that support people with disabilities in the local area, and teaching a variety of bespoke courses that are designed and delivered in a way that allows all members of the community to take part. This training includes digital inclusion, accessible sports, travel training, leisure courses, disability awareness training and life skills (personal safety, citizenship, communication skills, team working, skills for independent living, health and wellbeing etc). I also deliver training for like minded organisations and support other social enterprises to improve their management systems and develop their delivery offer. I set up KPAC in March 2007 and run it alongside my wife Helen Barker.
