About Gregory Smith

The diversity of my experience contains one common thread-a deep commitment to understanding and improving the human condition. As a musical artist I write, compose and communicate through voice and instruments my understandings of the human condition. As a photographer, capturing those images is another voice for me the gain deeper understandings of the human conditions. For me art is at its best when it is reflecting, commentating and storytelling the human condition. The constant questioning of what is and isn\'t human justice internally for individuals and externally for society. The never-ending search for the definition of identity always fascinates me.As a media and business analyst, the message and communication style of human condition is fascinating to me. Measuring the meanings of the messages. Checking the timing and effectiveness of messages. Accessing the reaction and feedback of an audience. Social and traditional media are lifeblood of the human condition. I also believe financial and economic decisions made by business and our government should contribute to the well-being of all members of society. Analyzing those decisions is a responsibility for all stakeholders, not just shareholders. As a teacher, I impart that curiosity and love of learning to my students. I instill pride, tolerance, work ethic and commitment to the improvement of the human condition. I believe all my students have the ability to make good decisions and to solve. My commitment to them is to build, model and illuminate the academic and social tools required to make good decisions consistently.
