Reporting to the Regional Chief Nurse Executive and site President, responsible for executive leadership of both nursing and hospital operations at Corewell Health Taylor and Trenton Hospitals. Lead a team of 6 nursing directors and operational leaders, overseeing a combined staff of over 900 employees and managing a $420 million operating budget. Accountable for quality of care, patient safety, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and operational efficiency- Recently provided executive oversight for a third facility in Farmington Hills (305 beds, Level II trauma center, Magnet® Recognized). Led system integration workgroups and served as team leader for patient throughput during the merger of Michigan’s largest health systems. Achieved first Magnet® Recognition with eight exemplars in 2022. Reduced nurse vacancies by 15% and eliminated agency usage through strategic recruitment and retention methods. Improved and maintained top-tier quality outcomes across CAUTI, CLABSI, SSI, falls, and mortality metrics. Reduced patient length of stay by 0.75 days over nine months. Launched a free Narcan program in partnership with michigan-open.org. Rebuilt Level II trauma program using a 24/7 APP model, reducing transfers by 20% and achieving successful reverification in 2023.
